Screen Warriors

About Screen Warriors

An initiative of the Veterans Film Festival – Screen Warriors is a national training, mentorship and job placement program for transitioning Australian Defence Force personnel and their families, to forge rewarding new careers in the film and television industry.

Our charity has partnered with the national screen and broadcast academy, the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS) to provide tailor-made courses that take existing skills and experience gained as a member of the Australian Defence Force and shape learning for roles in the screen industry.

Areas for training and employment may include: Locations Management, Unit Management, Transport Supervision, Assistant Directing, Production Management and Accounting.

Screen Warriors collaborates with production companies nationwide, and after completing our two-day ‘Introduction to the Film Industry’ course, students are able to join our roster of behind-the-scenes crew who we actively promote to movies, series and other productions currently shooting.
