Veterans Film Festival presents an annual festival of recent work by veterans or with veterans’ themes. The festival program includes films, workshops, masterclasses, art exhibitions and other special events.

Submissions now closed unless by festival invitation.

The 7th Veterans Film Festival will accept late submissions by invitation, for features, documentaries, and shorts (less than 40min). With $20,000 in cash and kind to be awarded across a number of prizes, including the prestigious Red Poppy Award for Best Feature and Best Short.  More information

2020 Veterans Film Festival – A Virtual Event

The 2020 Veterans Film Festival was held as a virtual event during the pandemic, with films available for viewing online and the awards presented in an online ceremony.  The prestigious Red Poppy Awards, a significant part of the Veterans Film Festival, were made to the films U311 Cherkasy for the best feature film and to Trust Frank for the best short film.  For more information about the Red Poppy Awards and other awards presented during the festival, visit the Awards page.
